October Breast Cancer Walk
Supporting Local Events
Each year as a local business and dental practice in Harrisonburg we like to choose some local events to support and participate in. We can’t support every local happening, but one of our favorite events to participate in is the Race to Beat Breast Cancer 5K Run/ Walk hosted by the Harrisonburg Parks and Recreation Board. The monies raised for this event go to support the local RMH Foundation who assists local individuals battling cancer with many of the costs they encounter with the diagnosis, treatment, and care. This money can help purchase wigs, fund transportation for treatment, medical supplies, and even treatment costs.
By sponsoring the event we are able to partake in the run/walk but are also given many slots for others, patients or friends to join our team. If our team fills up we are also happy to pay for others to take part who would like to race for a cure with us. We especially love seeing the enthusiasm there is for the event and cause. We enjoy being able to walk/run alongside survivors, family members affect by breast cancer, ones battling and supporters!
